Many people ask why Healthy Pets import pet products from the UK when there are so many excellent brands on the market in Spain, the problem was that we could not find products that we used and needed for our animals over here and the alternatives were not the quality of what we were used to.
The Healthy Pets team does not have qualifications on paper to throw at you but do have a lifetime of animal husbandry experience. Having been involved with dogs for more than 30 years, exhibiting, breeding, Club committee members etc, also having kept many other members of the Animal Kingdom to include Horses, Goats, Guinea pigs, Koi, Marine fish, Rabbits, Parrots, Canaries, Oriental Cats and more, Louise, the founder of Healthy Pets, from a very young age used to show and breed Dutch Rabbits, which led her into the dog show world, the first dog in the ring was the family Gordon Setter, which came away with a 1st place red card at a local open show. She has also been on that lengthy road many years ago spending 1000’s of pounds on vets fees for skin allergies with one of the Akitas had, she spent much time liaising with their South African trained vet and a top skin specialist in Scotland and reading up as much as she could on skin problems and nutrition, eventually finding it was all diet related. The Healthy Pets dogs, a Great Dane, a rescue Basset Hound and 3 terriers are fed on all the products that are imported and there has never been such glossy coats and tiptop Health, this can only be attributed to that fact that they are all fed on something that does not contain any detrimental ingredients that is prevalent in the pet food world today.
